If sensible honesty put them on the ballot
I'd be sensible enough to choose
Even before Jack and Jackie it's been who's paying who what is due
These days, all I can do is vote against numbers and letters
187, 229, 227, Landlords' letter E
At last they can't claim to be my voice
They take your vote
And not your voice
180 million don't bother with the devils whore or his better brother
But liberals with budget ax in closet call us the illiterate rabble
Most of us at time clocks just know who eats at whose table
Most of us at time clocks just know who eats at whose table
Democracy     on a leash     by one class     who can buy it
And no thanks to this free press that parrots
   a businessman's lack of sense
Smoke screens, scape-goating filtered through a corporate conduit

— With eight years of a democratic administration which included passage of the most right wing legislation in modern history (telecommunications bill, anti-terrorism bill, welfare/aid/legal immigrant cuts, the crime bill which resulted in a doubling of the prison population and continued gut of the appeals process) I was urged to vote lesser of two evils still. Democracy can't coexist with capitalism. A more progressive third party will only deter us from the real organizing that needs to be done. The corporate media does not allow counter views... even well-known Dan Hamburg an ex-democrat was not allowed in our recent governor debates. The market won't bear counter forces. Whores don't give peanuts to those who can't pay the bill, really. And I personally don't believe a rich person can make decisions for me or my neighbors. JFK started the Vietnam war against the advice of the French secret police resulting in 2 million viet deaths, directed the overthrow of a democratic Brazil... the list can go on with any president of either party.
